Udupi: Chaitra P R Tops District Level ‘Bharatanatyam’ Contest

Udupi, Nov 2: Under the aegis of Giants Group of Brahmavar and in association with Mumbai-based Surface Graphics Private Limited and Synergy Packaging Private Limited, district-level Bharatanatyam competitions were held at Mother Palace auditorium on Tuesday November 1.
 
Chaitra P R and Amrata Marpalli bagged the first and second prizes respectively, in the senior division while Priyanka Hebbar bagged the third prize.  Dhanushree Amin and Sinchana Bayari bagged the first and second prizes respectively, in the junior division, while Chintana Dhanya bagged the third prize.

 
MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary distributed the prizes on the occasion. Vidwan K Sudhir Rao Kodavoor, Ganesh Ganiga, Sandhya Shetty, and Akshata V Acharya were the jurors.
 
Convener of the competitions Madhusudan Heroor, Giants Group promoter Ganesh K, Surface Graphics Private Limited managing director H Gundu Shetty, Santosh Shetty, Synergy Packaging Private Limited promoters Sandhya Shetty and Shanta Shetty were present on the dais.
 
Giants Group chairman H Shivaram Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Vivekanand Kamat, Vikram Prabhu, Uday B, and Ravindra Prabhu assisted in the programme.  Giants Group chief executive officer Nityanand B R proposed the vote of thanks.
