Puttur, Nov 6: ‘Atta Mutta Makkala Natakotsav’, a children’s drama fest, will be held for the successive ninth year under the aegis of Nirataniranta and Bahuvachanam, at Ramakrishna High School open-air-theatre, Tombattu, near here, from Friday November 11 to Sunday November 13.

Savanoor Sitaram Rai, correspondent, Ramakrishna High School, will inaugurate the drama fest on Friday.

Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ directed by Iqbal Ahmed will be staged by the artistes of Kinnara Mela–Tumari on Friday.

Students of Sudhana Residential School will stage ‘Kunikuni Navile’, Kannada drama, directed by Mounesh Vishwakarma on Saturday November 12.

The students of Ramakrishna High School will stage Kannada drama ‘Bulbul Hakki’,  originally sourced from H C Anderson, directed by Mohan Sona and Chandra Sougandika, on Saturday November 12.

Kannada movie ‘Kanasemba Kudureyenneri’ directed by Girish Kasaravalli and ‘Dreams’, Russian play by Akira Kurosawa will be staged on Sunday November 13, from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm.  Up and coming cinematographer Vishnuprasad P will preside over the session. 

Varadaraj Chandragiri will deliver the keynote address on the occasion.

Renowned dramatist and economist Prof Ranganat Bharadwa will deliver the valedictory address.

‘Simhada Kathe’, a Kannada play from the original works of Johnleng, directed by K G Krishnamurti, will be staged by the artistes of Kinnari Mela–Tumari at 6.30 pm on Sunday, as stated in the press release.
