Mangalore: One Dies, Two Injured, as Truck Falls on Them

Mangalore, Nov 19: A truck which tumbled by its side at Panambur here on the night of Friday November 17, took away the life of a person, and injured two more. The deceased has been identified as Sonu from Maharashtra. The incident occurred at around 9.30 pm.

A total of seven people, including the driver and cleaner of a truck bearing Maharashtra registration number, were cooking for dinner by the roadside opposite New Mangalore Port Trust gate, when a lorry with Rajasthan registration number fell on them. It is gathered that the driver of the lorry which met with the accident, had lost control over his vehicle.

Two persons with serious injuries have been shifted to a hospital in the city for treatment. A case was registered in Panambur police station.
