Bangalore: Valmiki Nayaka Trust Backs Gadi Lingappa over Sriramulu

Bangalore, Nov 22: The Akhila Karnataka Valmiki Nayaka Welfare Trust, Bangalore, has appealed to voters of the community to vote for BJP candidate Gadi Lingappa in the Bellary Rural constituency by-election on November 30.

 Terming the by-election as “unfortunate”, Trust President Purushotham said BJP Government has granted funds for the welfare the community and declared holiday on Valmiki Jayanthi.

The Government has granted an acre of lands for Valmiki Bhavan at 6th stage of Banashankari in Bangalore and set aside Rs six crore for construction of the Bhavan, he said.

Both former minister B Sriramulu and BJP nominee Lingappa belong to the Beda Nayak Valmiki community.

The Trust said the government has also granted Rs 4 crore for Rajanahalli Valmiki Math for construction of a school. “In the interest of the welfare of the community,” the Trust President  appealed to the community members to support the BJP candidate in the elections, the note said.
