Mangalore: Vehicular Jatha to Bangalore for Anti-conversion Meeting

Mangalore, Nov 24: Addressing a press conference in the city, Satyajit Suratkal, south province convener of Hindu Jagran Vedike, informed that the Vedike has planned a mega public meeting at Freedom Park on Sheshadri Road in Bangalore at 11 am on November 28, demanding passage of a legislation in the state to ban religious conversions.

“A vehicular jatha comprising over 150 four-wheelers from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts will be flagged off from the premises of Sangh Niketan in the city on November 27. The jatha will reach Bangalore via B C Road and Sakleshpur,” he informed. He also called upon all the Hindus to take part in the jatha and participate in the programme aimed at protecting Karnataka from the clutches of religious conversions.

Vasudeva Gowda, Subhash Padil and Kishore were present at the press conference.
