Sullia, Nov 25: In an accident that occurred near the Cooly Shed at Kallugundi in the taluk on Thursday November 24, the pillion rider of a two-wheeler was killed on the spot, while the rider suffered grave injuries.
A tempo hit the motor bike in question, before disappearing from the scene immediately thereafter.
Keshav (55), a resident of Oorupanja village, died on the spot. His son, Pradeep (55), who was riding the vehicle, was seriously injured. He has been hospitalized. The two worked together towards plastering and smoothening of cement floors and walls.
