Udupi, Nov 25: The office of a stock-broking firm at Kunjibettu here caught fire at about 6.45 pm on Friday November 25.
The office of Share Khan is located on the first floor of a building and lies opposite to Udupi Utsav venue.
The exact cause of the fire and the extent of loss are yet to be ascertained. Sources said that the loss could be heavy, especially in terms of the data and records lost.
Fire brigade personnel arrived at the spot and managed to extinguish the fire that threatened to spread to the ground floor, where a supermarket and other shops are located.
A big crowd gathered at the spot.
