Kasargod: Police Register 25 Cases in Passport Racket

Kasargod, Nov 29: Hosadurga police have registered cases against nearly 25 persons for creating fake documents in order to obtain passports. Several cases in this regard were registered at Hosadurga police station.
 
The investigation has been on after a complaint about fake passports was made in the year 2009. Many police personnel were suspended in this connection. Applications were submitted for passports using the addresses of a few places in Ajanooru gram panchayat.

The investigation has revealed that applications for passports were submitted along with fake documents. When the applications were scrutinized by the investigation team, it was discovered that the applicants were not residing at the addresses mentioned. In this regard, cases have been registered against 25 persons.
