Mangalore, Nov 30: Search operations relating to a mini ship, Al Akhter, belonging to Mustafa from Bengre, Mangalore, which went missing with six crew members, are continuing. However, the operations have not yielded any results. In the meantime, the body of a man was found in sea on Tuesday near Amini Island in Lakshadweep.

Speed boats and two helicopters, in coordination with the navy, Coast Guard and local people, have been engaged in the operation.

The spot where the body was found is in the region where the ship in question was last seen. Lakshadweep superintendent of police, Ajai Kumar Singh, said that the body was being flown to Kochi by helicopter for post mortem, as it had been badly decomposed, and hence, identity of the person could not be established.

In the meanwhile, another mini ship named Dul Dul, which had also lost all contact with the concerned, was sighted at Palipani near Amini Island. All the ten crew members of this mini ship were found to be safe.
