Mangalore: Heavy Rain in Siddapur, Fishing Boats Ashore

Mangalore, Nov 30: Banavasi and Siddapur in Uttara Kannada district received eight cm of rain  each, while a few more places in Uttara Kannada like Bhatkal, Karwar and Kadra too experienced some rain on Tuesday November 28.

The meteorological department has predicted rains at a couple of places in Karnataka coast, a few places in southern interior Karnataka, and some more in northern hinterland. This prediction is valid till Thursday morning.

In the meanwhile, the turbulence at sea has shown some improvement. On Tuesday, fishing activity continued to be paralyzed, and boats did not venture into the sea from Mangalore, Malpe, and other ports. The fishermen hope that they would be able to conduct fishing within a couple of days.
