Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Dec 1: After a bullet tanker loaded with liquefied petroleum gas tripped and fell across the road at Lavattadka near Nelyady on national highway 75 on the evening of Wednesday November 30, traffic on the road was blocked for several hours.

The injured driver was admitted into a private hospital here. Reportedly, the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a bend on this stretch of the road. Fire brigade and police personnel have been manning the spot, as there are chances of gas leakage.

Deputy superintendent of police, M B Nagaraj, circle inspector, H Y Jagadish, sub-inspector, G T Dasari, and others rushed to the spot and controlled traffic. As the oil company personnel did not arrive on the spot for several hours, vehicles using the highway had to suffer a lot.
