Mangalore: Two-Day Workshop on 'Evidence - Informed Health Care' at FMMC

Mangalore, Dec 1: Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), in association with South Asian Cochrane Network will organize a two-day workshop on 'Evidence - Informed Health Care' on Friday December 2 and Saturday December 3 at the College’s Decennial Memorial Hall here.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday December 1, FMMC dean Dr J P Alva said that the event is being organized by the medical education unit of Father Muller Medical College, and would be inaugurated by Dr Prabha Adhikari, professor of medicine, KMC.

FMCI director Fr Patrick Rodrigues will preside. Prof Prathap Tharyan, director, South Asian Cochrane Network and Centre, CMC, Vellore would participate as the resource person.

FMMC administrator, Fr Denis D’SA, MEU Convener Dr Smitha and organizing secretary Dr Amita Ray were present at the press conference.

South Asian Cochrane network was established in 1993, and is recognized  internationally for its high quality information on healthcare. It has a network of over 28,000 people from 100 countries.
