Mangalore, Dec 2: Prasad Art Gallery, Ballalbagh will organize an art exhibition called as "Glimpses", a collection of paintings by Veena Srinivas from December 5 to 9.
The event will be inaugurated by Parvadhavardhini Gopalkrishnan,principal,Welcomegroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration,Manipal University, on December 5 at 5.30pm.
Dr Mukund Prabhu, Doctorate Honoris Causa of Mangalore University,Eminent Historian will be thes chief Guest. Dr Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva's Education Foundation will preside.
The artist, Veena Srinivas is well known personality in the field of Indian paintings. Basically, she has a Mangalorean origin and that has influenced her works. Veena was born on September 6, 1971. M RPavanje was her Guru.
Her group shows have been conducted at Mangalore, Bangalore, Belgaum, Udupi,and abroad. Also her works have been camped at Trissur (Keral),Moodabidare,Kundapur,Udupi, Mangalore and Bangalore, from 2008-09 to 2011. Her collections have also attracted by the USA,UK,Australian art lovers.
Veena explores the characters mainly from Ramayana ,Mahabharath and Bhagavadhgitha in her work. All of her paintings enhanced the sublimity of temples. She preserves the adorning walls with a touch of artistic on the paper.
This exhibition will be open to public between 10 am to 7pm from December 5 to 9.
