Udupi, Dec 2: “To awaken the talents from student community is the main motive of the Prathiba Karanji. It has completed a Decade in our state. Let it continue without obstacles”, said Devadas Hebbar, president of Udupi Taluk Panchayat while inaugurating the Kalathur, Santhurkopla cluster level Prathiba Karanji at Don Bosco Eng Med School, Shirva.

The talent hunt competition was jointly organized by Department of Public Education, office of BEO, cluster resource center and was hosted by school Don Bosco English Medium School Shirva.

The president of the function Parish Priest, as well as the Correspondent of the school Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro inaugurated the competitions by switching on the water fountain and said talents are hidden like the water in fountain the teachers and parents must give a start to flow it by the pressing a button called encouragement.

Udupi Jilla Panchayat member Ida Gibba D’Souza, Education co-ordinator Shanker Suvarana,  Dinakar Shetty the president of teacher’s Association Shirva, Parish Pastrol Council Vice President Arwin D’souza, Secretary Melwyn Aranha were the chief guest.

The resource person Mangala Shetty gave the introductory talk. Highschool H.M Gretta Noronha welcomed the gathering; Primary Section H.M Irene Rodrigues introduced the guests. Whole programme was compered by Alwyn Danthy. Cluster resource person Meenakshi proposed the vote of thanks.

In Junior, Senior, and High school section 946 students competed in 18 different competitions.
