Mangalore, Dec 4: As a part of Holy Cross Church Centenary Jubilee Celebration, the dance competition  'Naach Cordel Naach' was organized by unit of Young Christian Students movement (YCS), Cordel, Kulshekar from 3pm to 8:30 pm at Cordel hall on Saturday December 3 .

The dance competition was divided among seven different categories. The competition was a great source of entertainment witnessed by hall packed crowd by the exciting performance of nearly 160 participants.

The competition was judged by the experts in dance and choreography namely the advocate Santhosh D’Souza from Urwa, Marula Gibson and  Felita Consesso from Jeppu Parish. The dignitaries in the stage included the Parish Priest Fr Valerian Pinto, assistant parish priest Fr John Baptist Moras and Fr Melwyn Norohna, Parish Council vice president Praveen Patrao, secretary George D’Souza, jubilee co-ordinator Sushil
Norohna, YCS animator Melwyn Fernandes, and YCS office bearers.

Speaking on the occasion Fr valerian congratulated all the participants for making an effort to be the part of the programme and said that we have to show our unity, discipline through these activities. After the tough competition winners of the competition were announced and honored by the guest in the dais.

Among the inter ward group dance 1st place was backed by Blessed Mary ward, 2nd place by St Rita ward, and 3rd place by Good Shepherd ward.

The gathering was welcomed by Allan Norohna, president YCS unit, Asst director of YCS Fr John Moras thanked one and all making this endeavor a great success and the programme was compered by Roshni Goveas.
