Bhatkal, Dec 5:  An energetic Kadri Kmbala was organized by Somayya Gonda of Uttuwani Village here in Bahtkal on Sunday December 4.

Somayya hosts the event every year from 38 years near to his house , MLA J D Naik in his address congratulated Somayya’s effort for  successfully completing 38th of the buffalo race event.

Bhatkal TMC president Inayatullah Shabandari, who was a first time visitor at programme, appreciated the efforts of people, who look after the expenses of the event.

He further said that it is wonderful to see and regret he could not come last year as he was busy with some meeting. He urged people to bring their problem to the authorities at TMC and he is always available to help people.

Sudendra Degree College principal Vivender Shanbhag got award for his achievements. AC officer Ashok Naik, Iqbal Brahmawar, ACF officer Udaya Kumar were present among others.

There were competitions such as farmers running in water, ball race and slow running race. Winners of all competitions were awarded.
