Udupi: Students' Drama Troupe 'Savitam' Qualifies for State-level 'Natakotsav'

Udupi, Dec 6: ‘Savitam’, the students’ drama troupe of BMM High School, Koorady, has qualified to participate in the state level children’s Natakotsav at Bangalore and Tumkur.

Twenty-five students of Koorady School will stage ‘Kuhoo Kuhoo Kogile’, Kannada drama, by playwright Manjunat Belegere and directed by Raju Manipal at Bangalore on Monday December 5. The Natakotsav was organized by Ranga Suggi Trust, Bangalore.

The play troupe of Koorady School will also participate in the Natakotsav at Tumkur on Tuesday December 6. It was organized by Ranga Ranga Amateur Arts Troupe, Tumkur.

Koorady School has the maximum number of SC/ST students. Savitam play troupe has toured New Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala, and other states to participate in national children’s Natakotsav led by renowned stage artiste G Sitaram Shetty Koorady.

The school has set an example for other schools with its achievements in education, sports, and cultural spheres.
