Moodbidri: Bike - Tempo Accident - One Dies

Moodbidri, Dec 7: The rider of a motor bike died, and the hand of the pillion rider got severed, after the  two-wheeler they were travelling in, hit a tempo at Samagaragundi near here on Tuesday December 6 night.

The deceased has been identified as Ismail (40) from Todar. He was a timber merchant by profession. The right hand of Altaf (35), who was riding in the pillion, got separated from his body and thrown to the roadside.

Ismail, a native of Kuppepadavu, had recently shifted his residence to Todar. Altaf, who used to work abroad, had come back recently. Altaf’s severed hand was preserved in ice cubes and taken with him to a hospital in Mangalore for treatment.
