Bhatkal: Organizers of ‘Hitz T20 Tournament’ Lift the Trophy

Bhatkal, Dec 7: The organizers of the Hitz T20 Tourney Azad Nagar Friends Association (ANFA) won the trophy in finals played here at ANFA Kola Ground on Monday December 5.

ANFA (A) won the toss and elected to bat first in the final and scored 162/5 with the contribution of Faisal 51(32) and Sayeem 42(26).

Chasing the targetset by ANFA (A) winning team ANFA's opening batsmen Imran Lanka hit the fastest fifty of the tourney in just 14 balls.

The middle order batsman Mohtasim took the team to victory with his score of 45(37). ANFA achieved the target runs in 17th over.

A Prize distribution ceremony was held after the game, where in DYSP M Narayan, TMC president Inayatullah Shabandari and MLA J D Naik were present as guests.

Narayan in his address congratulated both teams and said that such tourneys encourage players in the region and awards them for their achievements in the field.

Inayatullah in his address urged J D Naik that there is need for an indoor and outdoor stadium in the taluk.


J D Naik assured the government has already sanctioned 75 lac second point construction of Muzaffar Kola stadium to address the needs in the taluk and the work at the YMSA ground for athletics is near completion. He also pointed out the need of coaches for teams.

He further said that the Kabaddi and cricket teams in the region are very strong. He was amused that both the finalists were organizers of the tourney.

Muzaffar Kola, Nizam Mummugatti among others were present.
The Programme commenced with recitation of Quran Vakas.

Maulana Ansar welcomed the quests and Maulana Haseeb Manna compered.

The Best Performers of  Tourney are:

Man of the match:  Imran Lanka
Man of the series: Sayeem of ANFA (A)
Best batsmen: Fauzan of Royal Sports Center
Best bowler: Mohsin of Moon Star
