Udupi, Dec 7: A bike rider lost his life when his bike was hardly hit by a speeding bus at Shiribidu near the main bus stand here on Wednesday December 7 morning.
The victim, Manjunath was a resident of Shanthi Nagar, Manipal. When he was riding on Karavali bypass from Manipal the accident occurred.
It is said that the private bus was moving through a banned area of Shiribidu which resulted in the accident.
Manjunath sustained heavy injuries and died on the spot. A case has been lodged in the town police station.
