Beltangady: Kannada Rajyotsava celebrates at Holy Redeemer English Medium School

Beltangady, Nov 2: State festival Kannada Rajyotsava was rightfully celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School on November 1. The proud Kannadigas of the school gave all respect to the state. Students of Kannada club organised the programme under the guidance of teachers Pallavi and Sumithra.

Correspondent Fr Walter D’Mello and PTA vice president Ramesh were the guests.

Student Prajna of class 9 welcomed the gathering. School pupil leader Vaishnavi with due respect invited the correspondent to hoist the flag. Meanwhile, the school choir sang the National anthem followed by State anthem which added the sense of patriotism. Arvin Bennis of class 8 narrated the history of the momentous day of Karnataka.

Correspondent addressed the students about the need of speaking Kannada and upholding the dignity of the state. Manvi of class 8 proposed the vote of thanks. Programme concluded by serving refreshments.

Also, school dance troupe performed a wonderful dance during taluk level Kannada Rajyotsava celebration held at Mini Vidhana Sauda, Beltangady.
