Kasargod: Teenage Writer Translates Belawadi Manjunath's Essays

  Yamini Bhatt, a high school student has translated Kannada essays of Belawadi Manjunath into English in the 'Penned Thoughts’ ,which was released here at Poorna Prajna High School, Balehonnur on Wednesday December 7.

Prominent educationist Dr Mahabaleshwar Rao formally released the book at a function organized by the Library association. “Yamini will become a noted writer in the future”, Rao said.

The book is a translation of an anthology of essays by Belawadi Manjunath in Kannada, which Yamini has effectively translated into English.

Vishwapriya Teertha seer of Admaru matt blessed the budding writer. School administration board member Vivek Shetty, Yakshagana artist Gopalkrishna Acharya, Head Master P M Bhatt and T Devidas among others were present.

Yamini's father Dr Sureshkumar, a resident of N R Pur delivered the vote of thanks.
