Beltangady: Road Mishap Accounts for Student’s Life

Beltangady, Dec 22: A student, who was critically injured in a motor bike accident which occurred near Ujire in the taluk on Tuesday December 21 night, breathed his last at a hospital on Wednesday.

Santosh Poojary (18), a native of Dharmasthala and second PU student of Mundaje PU College, was coming back home in his motor bike with his friend, Vinayachandra, at around 10 pm on Tuesday, when the wheels of his motor bike skidded near Anugraha College in Ujire.

Santosh, who got thrown onto the road as a result, suffered serious injuries.  After providing preliminary treatment in a private hospital in Ujire, he was shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore. He did not respond to treatments.

On a complaint made by Vinayachandra, who escaped with minor injuries, the police personnel of Beltangady station have registered a case.
