Kasargod: Speeding Truck Rams Into Electric Poles, Wall

Kasargod, Dec 23: A loaded truck from Ahmedabad headed towards a godown in Kasargod, collided with three electric poles before ramming into a compound wall. The compound wall belonging to Mohammed collapsed and the gate was also damaged. Three coconut trees were also uprooted. The incident occurred at Perumbala Kadavu, 7 km away from here, at 1.30 pm on Thursday December 22.
 
The truck was transporting sanitary items to a godown belonging to Salman Sanitary.


 

Driver Malik (65) and cleaner Rajith (20), of Solhapur, Maharastra, escaped any injury. It is said that Malik was over speeding and he lost control of the vehicle. The truck first hit three electric poles and a small fire erupted after the short circuit in a transformer nearby. Electricity supply in the area was disrupted.
