Bantwal, Dec 23: Monday, the 23, was a special day at Devamatha School, especially for the students, as it was a day of learning and exploration. The exhibition was diverse and showcased impressive artistic skills. The journey of exploration began with an art and craft section where the children's artworks caught everyone's attention. To heighten the excitement, there were additional sections featuring literary works, social models, traditional kitchen items, agricultural instruments, and medicinal plants.
The main highlight was the science model competition, where the students brought together their knowledge, creativity, and imagination. Everyone marvelled at their skills and innovative ideas. A special attraction was the museum display by Yaseer Kalladka, a numismatist and the founder of the Kalladka Museum. V K Acharya displayed a good amount of articles from his collection on Tulu art and culture. Tired and hungry explorers were able to visit food counters where students prepared food without using fire.
The chief guest for the event was Mohammad Yaseer Kalladka, numismatist and founder of the Kalladka Museum. The programme was presided over by Fr Anil Canute D’Mello, correspondent of Deva Matha English Medium School. The guests of honour included Santhosh D’Souza, V K Acharya, Janardhan K V, and Sr Annie D’Souza. The headmaster, Fr Naveen Prakash Pinto and Br Melvin D'Souza were present.
