Moodbidri, Dec 30: Students of Class X A and B from Carmel School embarked on a day of practical learning and community service as part of their experiential learning program on December 19.

The students visited MCS Bank, gaining valuable insights into the processes of opening new bank accounts, understanding different types of accounts, and exploring loan account operations. They also learned about bank membership and its benefits.

The assistant manager engaged the students in a detailed interactive session, addressing their queries and clarifying doubts. The session provided a deeper understanding of banking operations, and the bank extended its hospitality by offering refreshments to the students.

In addition, as part of their SEWA period, the students showcased their commitment to social responsibility. They crafted handmade blackboard dusters and paper bags as a service-learning initiative. These items were later presented to the principal of Holy Rosary High School and Dhanvantari Clinic and Medical Center, respectively.

The day blended academic enrichment with community engagement, inspiring students to integrate learning with service while fostering values of responsibility and teamwork.
