Mangalore: Man Dies at Laterite Stone Quarry

Mangalore, Dec 28: A person named Timmappa Gowda (42) from Mooduperara village died after slipping from a height in a laterite stone quarry located in his native village, on Tuesday December 27.

Gowda used to work for the quarry, operated by Srinath Shetty from Mooduperara. At around 11 am, he was climbing the steps of the quarry to come up and drink water, when he slipped all of a sudden and fell from a height of about 20 feet. As he landed heavily on the hard surface, he suffered grave injuries, and died while being shifted to a hospital.

A case in this respect was registered in Bajpe police station.
