Mangalore, Dec 29: Dhiraj Francis (26), resident of Morgans Gate died in an accident that occurred late night on Wednesday December 28 near Porkody, Bajpe here.
Dhiraj was the son of Mangalore assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) Felix D'Souza.
He was driving his Maruthi 800 car back to city after attending a marriage function in Kinnigoli, and was travelling alone. He is said to have lost control over the vehilce and hit a wall, before falling into a ditch. However, no one noticed the accident until much later.
The accident came to light only when the driver of a milk supply van saw it and reported it to the Bajpe police at around 1.30 am. Police rushed to the spot and made arrangements to shift the body to Wenlock mortuary for post mortem.
Dhiraj was working in a company in Bangalore since three years and had come to his native on Christmas vacation.
