Puttur: Man Crushed Under Wooden Log

Puttur, Dec 29: A person named Abdulla Kunhi (50) from Korundoor in Kodimbala village near Kadaba in the taluk died on Wednesday December 27 in a tragic accident. He was crushed under the wooden logs which unexpectedly came rolling down from a truck into which they had been loaded.

Kunhi was working for a contractor who had bagged the work of cutting down acacia trees standing in the compound of Kadaba government college, and transporting them. After a few logs were loaded into the truck, the truck moved ahead. The logs, which were yet to be securely fastened together, came hurtling down. Abdulla, who came under the heavy logs, was critically injured. He was immediately taken to Kadaba community hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Kunhi is survived by wife, three sons, and two daughters. A case was registered in this respect by Kadaba policemen.
