Udupi, Dec 30: In a tragic incident, a person who had recently married, chose to end his life on Wednesday December 28 evening. It is gathered that Suresh Naik (37) from Marne near Manipur in the district, was frustrated at not being able to bag a suitable job.
Suresh was a commerce graduate. For the last four years, he had worked as a part time teacher at the government school in Karvalu. In the recent past, the government chose to upgrade the school. As a result, a full time teacher was posted in the place of Naik. Naik had therefore, lost his job.
Faced with the prospect of having to after his family without a job, Suresh Naik had become dejected with life, and become addicted to drinking of late. On December 27, he left his home, and did not return. His body was found hanging from a tree in a thicket located near his house on Wednesday evening.
