Mangaluru: CFAL's Pratham Kamath advances to next round of NSEB

Media release

Mangaluru, Jan 17: CFAL student Pratham Kamath has made waves in the academic world by qualifying for the next stage of the prestigious National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB).

Competing against thousands of students nationwide, Pratham has secured a spot as one of the top 9 qualifiers from Karnataka in the group B category, cementing his position among the state's brightest young biologists.

Pratham achieved a perfect score of 100, well above the Minimum Admissible Score (MAS) of 74, demonstrating his exceptional academic prowess. His outstanding performance has earned him a place in the Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO), the next level of the competition. The INBO serves as a gateway to the International Biology Olympiad (IBO), where the world’s top Biology students compete.

This achievement underscores CFAL's commitment to fostering excellence in STEM education. Through specialised programmes and Biology camps, CFAL has played a key role in nurturing Pratham’s passion for Biology and helping him achieve national recognition.

CFAL has a strong track record in producing top talent in STEM fields.

In 2019, Shreyas Pai, another CFAL student, topped India’s Biology Olympiad and received global recognition, along with offers from prestigious institutions.

Pratham’s success continues CFAL’s legacy of academic excellence, and the institution is eager to support him in his journey through the INBO and beyond.
