Mangalore: Ganja Seized, Peddler Arrested

Mangalore, Jan 4: K U Belliappa, station house officer of Suratkal police station, and a team of police personnel attached to his station, arrested a person, who was trying to sell ganja near Ganeshpura ground within the jurisdiction of their police station. Ganja weighing 2.7 kg was also seized from his possession.

The operation was conducted on Tuesday January 3 afternoon. The arrested man has been identified as Ravi alias Ravindra Gudadinni (24), a resident of Muddebihal taluk in Bijapur district. Reportedly, he confessed during questioning by the police that he had brought the drug with him for sale to his customers. The value of ganja seized from him has been put at Rs 25,000.

Sub-inspector of police, Ramesh Hanapur, and personnel, Bharat, Ramachandra, Girish, Lokesh and others were involved with the operation.
