Bhatkal: Islamia Anglo Urdu School Celebrates 72nd Annual Gathering

Bhatkal, Jan 10: Islamia Anglo Urdu High School and Anjuman Boys high school celebrated their 72nd annual gathering here at Anjuman Ground on Saturday January 7.

Maulana Aasar Madani was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony held in the morning, which was followed by the annual gathering, commenced with the recitation of Quran and religious hymns in the evening.

MLA J D Naik and principal of Jamia Islamia, Bhatkal Maulana Abdul Bari were chief guests.

Maulana Abdul Bari congratulated students, who were excelled in the year as well as their parents.

He discussed importance of education and said that school is like a car having four tyres that are students, teachers, parents and management, he said that every one is important in this system of education for a smooth running.

He further advised students on points like - proper utilization of time, taking down points from the lectures, maintaining a time table for studies and respecting teachers and parents.

J D Naik also urged students not to bunk classes and to be presentable, he said style and sporting cars or bikes are not important at the age rather achievement in education and good character are important.

He also requested students to avoid using mobile phones.

BEO Bhatkal Devdas Moger was present on behalf of DDPI Karwar N S KUMAR and expressed his happiness for RNS and Anjuman schools having modern boarding facilities in the region.

He also expressed his grief over the poor SSLC results in the Urdu medium schools in the region compared to the Kannada and English mediums.

Kashimji Mohammed Ansar, Jukaku Abdul Raheem, Abdur Rahman Batin and others were present on dais.

Prof Abdur Rahman compered and school board secretary Abdurahman Batin welcomed the gathering.

Many awards were given away including NCC and Scout awards, literary champions and sports champions were awarded.

Abdul Bais s/o Abdul Basit Kadli was awarded Viqar-e-Islamia award and Mohammed Anfal s/o Ashfaque Kharuri was awarded Viqare-e- Anjuman award.

Best teacher award of Rs 5000 and a trophy was won by Shabbir Ahmed Dafedar, it was sponsored by Abdul Raheed Mohtesham.
