Mangalore: No Holidays for Colleges during Youth Festival

Mangalore, Jan 10: Media reports had earlier said that holiday will be declared for private, government, and aided colleges under Mangalore University in Dakshina Kannada district from January 12 and 16 to enable students to participate in National Youth Festival being held in the city.

However, joint director in the department of collegiate education, H R Nataraj Urs, clarified that the degree colleges in Dakshina Kannada district will remain functional during this period. However, the principals will give special permission to those students, who participate in the programmes of the festival, he added.

    This is very sad news for all of us student. If at all there was no holiday than why the hell they d holiday earlier??
