Mangalore: Gold Crown for Lord Venkataramana Taken in Grandeur Procession

Mangalore, Jan 10: The gold crown studded with nine precious jewels made as an offering to Lord Venkataramana, the deity at the Sree Venkatramana Temple, Car Street, to mark the re-installation ceremony of the temple, was taken in a grand procession from Mangala Stadium through Mannagudda, Kudroli, Alake, and concluded at the temple on Tuesday January 10.







Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt and his disciple Swami Samyameendrateerta were present on the occasion.


A special ‘puja’ was performed by the two religious heads. The gold crown will be displayed for public viewing at the Venkataramana Temple on Wednesday January 11 and Thursday January 12.
