Udupi, Feb 27: Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM) held a grand alumni meet ‘Poorna Sammilana’, at Prajna Hall, on February 22.
The event brought together alumni from various batches, faculty members, and students to celebrate and strengthen the alumni network. The event was also live-streamed on YouTube, allowing alumni from across the globe to participate virtually.
The event was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp, by dignitaries and office bearers of alumni association.
Dr M R Hegde, founder director Poornaprajna Institute of Management, delivered an inspiring speech, reminiscing about his journey with PIM and emphasized the importance of alumni engagement.
Dr G S Chandrashekar, honorary secretary Poornaprajna Institute of Management and Dr Bharath V, former director Poornaprajna Institute of management, in their address shared their experience and valuable insights on alumni contribution and institutional growth.
Umesh Bhadya, finance executive Udaya Aluminium and working president of the alumni association, addressing the gathering emphasized the role of alumni in bridging the gap between academics and industry and encouraged active alumni participation in institutional development.
Dr P S Aithal, director Poornaprajna Institute of Management, in his presidential address, expressed gratitude to the alumni for their continued support and encouraged them to actively participate in future institutional initiatives.
Dr M R Hegde felicitated distinguished alumni for their outstanding achievements and Dr P S Aithal presented appreciation certificates to student volunteers for their dedication and contribution to the event.
An alumni interaction session was held, where alumni speakers shared their personal stories, experiences, and insights from their time at PIM. Their reflections inspired the students and reinforced the strong bond between alumni and their alma mater.
The event commenced with the college prayer rendered by the alumni members from batches 2009-11, 2018-20 and 2021-23. This was followed by a mesmerizing welcome dance performed by Keerthana from 2nd MBA.
Himal Kumar, student coordinator of the alumni association introduced the esteemed guest and facilitated a floral welcome. Prof Diana Saldana, faculty coordinator of the alumni association, florally welcomed the faculty members and office bearers of the alumni association and presented the alumni report, highlighting the achievements and initiative of the alumni association over the years.
Amulya of 2nd year MBA, welcomed the gathering. Medha prabhu, student coordinator of alumni association delivered the vote of thanks. Suma of 2nd MBA served as the master of ceremony for the event.
