Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University organises Aviator’s Premier League 2025 Season 2

Mangaluru, Mar 1: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University successfully organised the Aviator’s Premier League (APL) Cricket Tournament on February 28 at Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru. A total of 12 matches had played, including 10 league matches, where each team played four matches. The league matches were played in a 2 over format, while the semi-final and final matches were conducted in a 3 over format.

The tournament commenced and followed a league format with a total of five participating teams. Kings 11 Avios scored 8 points, Raptors scored 6 points, Falcon scored 6 points, Cric Blasters earned 1 point, and United Brothers finished with 0 points.

In the semi-final, Raptors defeated Falcon in a closely contested 3-over match to secure their place in the final. In the final, Kings 11 Avios emerged victorious against Raptors by 25 runs in a thrilling 3-over showdown.

The awards and recognitions of the tournament included Mohammad Mubasir, III Year BBA (aviation and logistics management) being named man of the series, Mohammed Hanaan, III Year BBA (aviation and logistics management) earning man of the match (Final), Jithesh Rao, III Year BBA (aviation and logistics management) recognised as the best bowler, and Mohammed Thoushik, II-year BBA (aviation management) awarded best batsman.

The tournament was conducted under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, along with Anjana T V, HoD, Institute of Aviation Studies. Additionally, Supriya Adiga, physical director of Srinivas University, and Bhagyashree, sports coordinator, Institute of Aviation Studies, played vital roles in organising the event.

The tournament ended successfully, reflecting great sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit among the participants. It was a thrilling event that brought teams together and celebrated their efforts.
