Bangalore, Jan 17: In a move that has all the makings of giving rise to a controversy, Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) chairman, G Somashekhara Reddy, has appointed M N Venkataram as the temporary managing director of the federation.

The move has come as a surprise, as the chairman had not obtained approval of the board of directors of KMF before taking this decision. The question whether this order passes the test of rules, procedures and laws, is debatable. It is not as yet known what prompted the chairman to make this unexpected move.

The present incumbent, A S Pramnath, who was in-charge of the post of the managing director and chief executive officer of KMF since some time, has not been shown any posting, although he has been relieved of the post of the managing director.

    THIS IS PURELY POLITICS OF PRICE HIKE BY REDDY WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN JAIL AND HE HIMSELF HAS PROVED THESE REDDY'S ARE GOOD FOR NOTHING BUT TO HIT COMMON MAN WHO NEVER OBJECT ON ANY ISSUES. MILK WAS SOLD AT RS.14/LTR THREE YEARS BACK GONE TO 30/LTR TODAY WHICH IS MORE THAN DOUBLE THAT TOO AN ITEM OF NECESSITY FOR CHILDREN AND WE ARE SAYING NUTRITION EFFECT IN CHILDREN.
    WHEN KMF(A GOVT. BODY)LOOTS PUBLIC WITH A SOLE MOTIVE OF INCREASING ITS PROFITS BY LOWER QUALITY AND HIGH PRICED UNHIGENIC (22%) MILK AND GIVING RS.2 /LITRE SUBSIDY TO MILK PRODUCERS AS IF GIVING FROM THEIR POCKETS THEREBY DIVERTING THE HYGENIC MILK THRU DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS. WHY CM MR.DVS IS SILENT ?

    Dr.M.N.Venkataramu has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of KMF yesterday the 16-01-2012 by the Board of Directors and the President of KMF. This is following the direction of Honurable High Court of Karnataka which had ordered the appointment of Senior most person as Managing Director. Since Premnath was not the Senior most person he has been removed from his temporary position as Managing Director.
