Puttur, Jan 17: In a marriage function held at Buntara Bhavana here on Monday January 16, the father of the groom breathed his last after the marriage was solemnized. His end came due to cardiac arrest, it is learnt.
Uggappa Rai (80), a resident of Kedambady village in the taluk, was witnessing the rituals connected with the marriage of his son. Even as he was watching the proceedings following the solemnization of he marriage, he suffered heart attack. Arrangements were made to shift him to a hospital immediately. However, the doctors declared him brought dead, it is gathered.
