Mumbai, Apr 24: Actress Mouni Roy, who will soon be seen lighting up the screen in the much-anticipated horror-comedy ‘The Bhootnii’, has opened up about her experience of working alongside Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt. Sharing screen space for the first time with the iconic actor, Mouni described him as a “guiding light” on set.

Speaking about her initial apprehension, Mouni confessed, “I was naturally very intimidated by a man with his stature, but he made sure to make me feel comfortable. He was approachable to all of us.”

Mouni plays the titular ‘Bhootnii’ Mohabbat, while Dutt dons the role of Baba, a ghosthunter in pursuit of her. The movie, featuring a fresh ensemble including Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan, has already drawn buzz for its quirky punchlines and horror-laced humor.

Produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt under the banner of Soham Rockstar Entertainment, and presented by Zee Studios, the film is co-produced by Hunar Mukut and Maanayata Dutt. Slated for a May 1, 2025 theatrical release, ‘The Bhootnii’ promises a unique blend of scares, laughs, and some unexpected chemistry.

As excitement brews for its release, Mouni’s heartfelt appreciation of Dutt’s humility and mentorship only adds to the anticipation surrounding the film.
