Byndoor, May 14: A grand religious ceremony was held at Sri Parshwanath Swami Goddess Padmavati Temple in Bolamballi, Byndoor taluk, for the unveiling of two monolithic idols: a towering 27-foot statue of Bhagawan Shri Bahubali Swami and a 21-foot idol of Sri Ramachandra.
The inauguration and consecration were led by Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala, in the presence of Acharya Gulab Bhushan Munimaharaj. The ceremony also received divine guidance from Sri Dr Devendrakeerthi Bhattaraka Bhattacharya Mahaswamiji of Humbucha and Jagadguru Akalanka Kesari Sri Bhattakalanka Bhattaraka Swamiji of the Jain Math, Sonda.
In his address, Dr Veerendra Heggade reflected on the significance of the newly consecrated idols, stating that they represent the ideals and values of those who created them. He acknowledged the contributions of Dharmaraj Jain and his wife, religious heads of the region, whose devotion made the event possible. He noted, “These idols are not just objects of worship; they embody self-respect, sacrifice, and righteousness, values that should guide the next generation in today’s self-centered world.”














The ceremony was initiated by an invocation led by Nireeksha Hosmaru, with a formal welcome by Dr Aakashraj. The event was compered by Babita Jain Sagara, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
Notable attendees included Dharmaraj Jain and Vanitha Dharmaraj Jain of the Aalupa family, Shraddha Amit Kumar Dharmasthala, Suggi Sudhakar Shetty, Jayashila Shetty Kalthodu, Shantaram Shetty Barkur, Ratnakar Jain Mangaluru, Manjunath Rao Barkur, Harshendra Jain Maala, Subhash Jain Kundapura, Anilkumar Bolamballi, Dr Akshata Adarsh, and Jinesh Prasad Nellikaru.
Later in the evening, the temple hosted a Rathotsava (Chariot Festival) of Goddess Sri Padmavati, celebrated with great splendour. The festival was attended by B Y Raghavendra, Member of Parliament for Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency, Gururaj Gantihole, MLA for Byndoor constituency, Thimmanna Padmaprasad Ajila, Royal Head of Aladangadi, and Dr Mohan Alva, President of Alva's Education Foundation, along with many devotees from the local community.
