Udupi, Jul 11: In an effort to raise awareness among the public on issues such as cybercrime, narcotics, juvenile delinquency, the POCSO Act, house theft, chain snatching, and traffic rules, the Udupi police have launched an innovative outreach programme titled ‘Mane Mane Police’ (Police to Every House).

The campaign was inaugurated on Thursday, July 11, by district and sessions court judge Kiran S Gangannavar, who flagged off the initiative and wished the police teams success, expressing hope that their service would reach every household in the district.

As per the 27-point circular issued by the government, the campaign was launched at the Udupi City police station, and simultaneously in Manipal, Brahmavar, and Kota police stations under the Udupi sub-division.

During house visits, police personnel collected the names and mobile numbers of residents and received complaints and suggestions from the public. The team, led by the PSI or ASI of each station, reported that the initiative was met with a positive response.
