Mangalore: Fr Muller's School of Nursing Organize Cancer Awareness Programme

Mangalore, Feb 4: To commemorate World Cancer Day, the students of Father Muller School of Nursing organized an awareness programme regarding cancer. A street play was conducted by the third GNM students on the theme “Together it is possible” near Medical Record Department at the premises of Father Muller Medical College Hospital on Saturday February 4.

The chief guest of the programme was Fr Richard Coelho, the administrator of FMMCH. Jasmine Sarita Vas, the principal of FMSON and Ashalatha, subject co-ordinator of Community Health Nursing were the guests of honor.

The programme began at 9.15 am by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer song. Renita Cutinha delivered the welcome speech followed by the Street Play. Through this play this students gave an awareness regarding cancer, its causes, signs and symptoms, management and its prevention.

More than 100 people were present for this programme along with staff and students of FMSON, FMCON.

Jenevia D’Costa proposed the vote of thanks. Jenita Franco compered the programme.

    wowww!!!!!!! its so nice to see this.... i cud remember wen i was a nursing student at fr. muller , we used to conduct these kind of awareness programmes....
