Moodlakatte Institutions hold anti-drug awareness programme and pledge

Kundapura, Aug 25: An anti-drug awareness session and pledge-taking ceremony was organised jointly by Moodlakatte College of Nursing, IMJ Allied Health Sciences College, Moodlakatte Paramedical Sciences Institute, and Moodlakatte College of Physiotherapy.

The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Bhimashankar Sinnur, police sub-inspector of Kundapura Rural police station, Kandlur, along with Jennifer Freeda Menezes, principal of Moodlakatte Nursing College; Roopashree K S, vice-principal of Moodlakatte Nursing College; Dr Padmacharan Swain, dean of IMJ Allied Health Sciences Institute; and Soujanya, vice-principal of IMJ Allied Health Sciences College and Moodlakatte Paramedical Institute.

Addressing the students, PSI Bhimashankar Sinnur highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and stressed the importance of awareness among youth. Professor Jennifer Freeda Menezes spoke about the significance of the Anti-Drug Committee, while Dr Padmacharan Swain elaborated further on its importance.

Roopashree K S administered the anti-drug pledge to the gathering.

The programme was compered by lecturer Sushma. Keerthana delivered the welcome address, and Deepika proposed the vote of thanks.
