All electrical connections should be off and also should not touch any metal objects during thundering. Most importantly signal catching equipment's are easy target of thundering. I still remembers many years back , it was raining and suddenly thundering started and hit my tv screen (those days thundering in middle of monsoon is not expected, unlike now ) and i was working on my computer about 5 feet away. For my luck, MCV tripped immediately as result only damaged my tv adaptor.
