Bahrain, Oct 25: Yoga prodigy Tanushree Pithrody has once again etched her name in history by breaking her own previous record and achieving her 10th world record. She performed an astounding 333 yoga asanas in 50 minutes, earning recognition from the Golden Book of World Records.
The remarkable performance took place at a special event jointly organized by the Kannada Sangha Bahrain and the Bahrain Yoga Community held at the Bahrain Kannada Bhavan, Bahrain on October 24.









Previously, during the Adamaru Paryaya event, Tanushree had set a record by performing 245 yoga postures in 45 minutes. By surpassing her own previous record, Tanushree has once again proved her exceptional dedication and talent in the field of yoga.
This latest achievement adds to her impressive list of nine previous world records, comprising two Guinness World Records and seven Golden Book of World Records titles, making this her tenth global recognition.
Manish Vaishnoyi, Asia head of the Golden Book of World Records, served as the official adjudicator for the event and presented Tanushree with a provisional certificate in acknowledgment of her new feat.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including president of Bahrain Kannada Association Ajith Bangera, president of Bahrain Yoga Association Fatima Al Mansoori, chairman of Bahrain Indian School Binu Mannil Varghese, president of Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam P V Radhakrishna Pillai, president of Bahrain Indian Club Joseph Joy, and CEO of Unico Group Bahrain Jayashankar Vishwanathan.
Also present were Sandhya and Uday, Raghavendra Devadiga, Reethu Sri, Ram Prasad Ammenadka, Nithin Shetty, Eshwar Anchan, Harinath Suvarna, Harini Shetty, Pulakeshi, and Harish Gowda, among others, congratulated Tanushree on her outstanding achievement.
Earlier, the event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by all dignitaries, symbolizing peace and enlightenment, followed by a prayer song rendered by Reethushree Pithrody.
The welcome address and programme anchoring were gracefully handled by Ram Prasad Ammenadka, General Secretary of Kannada Sangha Bahrain, who also proposed the Vote of Thanks.
A 15-minute yoga demonstration by Kannada Sangha members and children, coordinated by Yoga Instructor Shivananda Patil, Sujatha H K, and Chandra Dhueholi, added a vibrant spiritual touch to the event.
A special video presentation showcased Tanushree’s inspiring yoga journey and other artistic talents, receiving loud applause from the audience.
Kannada Sangha president Ajith Bangera delivered the presidential address, appreciating Tanushree’s phenomenal achievement and highlighting the Sangha’s commitment to promoting Indian art, culture, and yoga in Bahrain.
The chief guest and guests of honour delivered short congratulatory speeches, praising Tanushree’s dedication, discipline, and role in spreading the message of yoga worldwide. Each dignitary was presented with a memento of gratitude by the president as a token of appreciation.
During the felicitation segment, Tanushree’s parents, Sandhya and Uday Kumar Pithrody, along with well-wishers and supporters Nagaraja Varkadi and Raghavendra Devadiga, were honoured by the Kannada Sangha for their constant encouragement and support.
In her thank-you address, Tanushree Pithrody expressed heartfelt gratitude to all supporters and urged everyone to practice yoga regularly to lead a healthy and peaceful life.
The event concluded with an inspiring concluding note by Nagaraja Varkadi, who beautifully summarized Tanushree’s journey and her remarkable accomplishments, leaving the audience deeply motivated.
This landmark achievement not only marks a golden milestone in Tanushree’s extraordinary journey but also brings immense pride to Kannada Sangha Bahrain, showcasing India’s Yoga excellence and Karnataka’s cultural heritage on the world stage.
