Carmel Blossoms and Establishment Day held at Kotekar

Mangaluru, Nov 20: Carmel Central School, Kotekar, celebrated Establishment Day and Carmel Blossoms Day on November 19th with deep devotion, joy, and gratitude. The event was graced by the chief guest Sr Janet Sequeira AC, vice principal of St Agnes PU College, Mangaluru.

The celebration commenced with a soulful prayer song, invoking God’s blessings and setting a serene tone. This was followed by a vibrant welcome dance that radiated unity, joy, and festivity. A warm welcome address was then delivered by Lanvi, who greeted the chief guest, management, staff, and students with grace.

A melodious tribute song was presented in honour of Venerable Mother Veronica, celebrating her inspiring life, vision, and unwavering dedication that laid the foundation of the Apostolic Carmel. Students of Carmel Blossoms then staged a meaningful skit portraying the core values every Carmel Blossom is called to live kindness, responsibility, and service.

The significance of Establishment Day and Carmel Blossoms Day was insightfully explained by Joshua Lobo and Nathania, who highlighted the historical roots and purpose of these commemorations.

Another creative skit depicted the journey of young women nurtured under the Apostolic Carmel, symbolising growth, empowerment, and the spirit of service. To spark active participation, a lively quiz round was conducted, followed by an energetic dance performance that brought excitement to the auditorium.

The chief guest, Sr Janet Sequeira AC, delivered an inspiring address, applauding the students for their talents and encouraging them to imbibe the three C’s of Mother Veronica:

Courage with conviction – to remain fearless and determined even in challenging times

Compassion – to let one’s heart beat for others through care and kindness

Commitment – to stay dedicated till the goal is achieved

She urged students to integrate these values into their daily lives.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Rayan and Alfreda, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, management, teachers, parents, and students for their support in making the event meaningful and memorable.
