Mangaluru, Nov 22: Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil, has recorded yet another remarkable milestone as its students excelled in various State Level sports competitions and earned the honour of representing the institution at prestigious All India Inter-University Championships.
Akshay A R, IV year, aeronautical engineering, brought pride to the college by winning the silver medal in the State Level Cross Country Competition held at SJM Institute of Technology, Chitradurga. His exceptional performance has earned him selection for the All India Inter-University Cross Country Competition.
Riktha Kiran, IV year, electronics and communication engineering, showcased outstanding strength and determination by securing the gold medal in the State Level Powerlifting Competition held at RVITM, Bengaluru. She also clinched the gold medal in the State Level Weightlifting Competition conducted at GAT, Bengaluru. Her consistent excellence has led to her selection for both the All India Inter-University Powerlifting Competition and the All India Inter-University Weightlifting Competition.
Pavan Vasanth Patgar, II year, aeronautical engineering, secured 3rd place in the State Level Wrestling Competition held at MIT, Mysuru, adding to SIT’s growing list of sports laurels.
Nikhil Jagannath Salian, II year, artificial intelligence and machine learning, won the gold medal in Kumite and the silver medal in Kata at the State Level Karate Competition held at RVCE, Bengaluru. His remarkable performance has earned him selection to represent SIT in the All India Inter-University Karate Competition.
Thrupthi N, II year, artificial intelligence and data science, won the silver medal in the State Level Yoga Competition held at Vemana Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, and has been selected for the All India Inter-University Yoga Competition.
The management of Srinivas Institute of Technology expressed immense pride in these outstanding accomplishments. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal, SIT, shared the news and lauded the efforts of the students and the Physical Education Department.
