After inaugurating the institutions, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot said he was pleased to inaugurate the new Schools of Engineering and Law at St Aloysius. He noted that the education sector is growing rapidly under the vision of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said India is steadily moving towards becoming a developed nation and the Prime Minister’s vision of strengthening the education sector is taking shape.
Emphasising the role of education in character building, the Governor urged students to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and recalled ancient centres of learning such as Nalanda. He also lauded the contribution of St Aloysius Educational Institutions, which have been imparting education in coastal Karnataka for the past 146 years, and described their role in shaping the region’s educational landscape as significant.
St Aloysius Deemed to be University, with a legacy spanning over a century and a half, has evolved from a small college into a reputed deemed university. The inauguration of the Schools of Engineering and Law marks an important milestone in its academic journey, further expanding its academic offerings.
