Nuns accorded devotional welcome on their ceremonial entry into Moodbidri Jain Kashi

Moodbidri, Jan 30: The ceremonial entry of Parampujya 105 Aryika Vipula Mati, Parampujya 105 Vimukta Mati Mataji, and Kshullika Vishala Mati Mataji, disciples of Acharya Vivek Sagar of the lineage of Acharya Chanivale Shanti Sagar Muni Maharaj, into Moodbidri Jain Kashi took place on Thursday with deep devotion and reverence.

The Matajis entered Jain Kashi Moodbidri from the Alangaru route and were ceremonially received. Upon arrival, they offered darshan of the sacred Dhavalatraya Agama texts, preserved at the Shri Math of the Eighteen Basadis of Moodbidri Jain Kashi, where they later took their seat. A large number of shravakas and shravikas participated in the vihara, while devotees in large numbers gathered from the Moodbidri Alangaru Badaga Basadi area in the morning to extend a heartfelt and devotional welcome to the Matajis.

Subsequently, at the Shri Digambara Jain Math, under the guidance of Bharata Bhushana Jagadguru Swastishri Dr Bhattaraka Charukeerthi Panditacharyavarya Mahaswamiji, Peethadhipati of the Digambara Jain Math and the Jain Mahasamsthana of the Moodbidri Jain Kashi Mahakshetra, special religious rituals were performed. These included Ksheera Abhisheka to Bhagavan Parshwanatha Swami, Shodashopachara pooja to Kushmandini and Padmavati Devi, and Padapooja to the Mataji Sangha.

Among those present on the occasion were Sanjayant Kumar, Shambhava Kumar, Ananth Veer, S Pushparaj, K Suraj, Vijay Kumar, Advocate Shweta Jain, Sudesh Kumar, Patna Shetty, Sudheesh Kumar Betkeri, Sudha Parshwanath, R Veerendra, and Sanjayant Kumar Shetty, manager of the Shri Digambara Jain Math, along with several others.
